Everything was perfect, outstandingly accommodating staff, exceptional views of the mountains and likes. The breakfasts were gorgeous and satisfactory, always with lots of meals. The location was particularly good, really near center of Hallstatt. Moreover, it's short walk to railway station and lake surrounded by snow capped mountains.

We greatly enjoyed Obertraun. The hotel was modern and quiet, with a favorable position right by the bus stop Obbertraun Fieriendorf and public transport. Our last visit provided us with a modern, spotless room with a balcony and a mountain view, along with bunk beds.

Lake view room was excellent but small for our family with 2 small children. Thats what we expected though. Balcony to the lake on the 2nd floor was amazing and the swimming pool and restaurant both rated highly. Great walk and park infront of the hotel and very close to the caves which are a great day/afternoon trip. Close to the main town and we drove out for our evening meal there. Def recommend to friends and family. Worth a weekend stay but with Salzburg so close this could be a great base for a few days.

Room was small for us but would be great for a couple. Limited car parking and at the mercy of other guests being sensible with their parking skills!

The room window is facing to the lake. The scene is beautiful.

The quilt is thin. Felt a bit cold at May night.

The small king room had a lovely bed, balcony, and storage. The breakfast offered plenty of choices and was satisfactory. The hotel's location next to a boat dock is marvelous. The staff was nice and provided good service. The hotel's beautiful location is perfect for exploring Obertraun.

Nice hotel, well located, staff is always ready to help. The bathroom in both the single room and the double room was not so small as we thought after reading some of the previous comments, but in one of the room there was in fact only a curtain for the shower, so you'd better be carefull if you don't want to transform the bathroom in swimming pool. Would come back here.

Easy access to Hallstatt (by boat & bus) and to the Dachstein caves (by cable car).

The room we stayed in was super equipped and looked stunning - it had a balcony with amazing mountain views, and even bunk beds for the kids! 🌄

it was a great stay on the winter time. i got the small room, it was budget and new-fashioned.

The staff were exceptionally nice and had a great attitude. the location close to the beach was good. - It was also next to a lake, restaurant, pizzeria, ferry station, and Salzburg. - I enjoyed staying at the hotel and will be back.

Shower room with curtain in such a tiny space is quite unacceptable for a hotel. It makes wet floor in both bathroom and even bedroom. And I got burnt by the hot metal of shower system accidentally 3 times during taking a shower. And I can say the shower system is very dangerous. And the lake view is not a true lake view - the view is blocked by a lake side cafe.
